Our students, families, and communities have been hard at work fundraising for a new Regent Street playground!
For the last five days, each class has heard inspiring messages about important character traits like teamwork, care, and courage. The Hudson Montessori Volunteers and DanceFit have coordinated Wednesday’s danceathon as our fundraiser’s finale. The 35-minute event – complete with fun video prompts and popular Just Dance video game hosts – will dance for the pledges they receive from family, friends, and the community.
There is still time to help if you have not created your child’s fundraising page yet! The fundraising pages will be open through next week. Friends, family, local businesses, or community members can pledge to sponsor a student for a chosen dollar amount per minute or make a flat donation to help sponsor the school’s playground plans.
On Monday, we will continue our spirit week with kids wearing crazy socks—thanks to surpassing the ¼ goal benchmark. When they reach the half-way mark ($5,000), they’ll be donning silly hats!
Our $10,000 goal provides half of the funding the school needs for its annual fundraising goal. The funds will be used to complete a Regent St. playground for each of our students to enjoy. In the last five days, we have raised over $3,000 from generous donors in 12 states across the country.
All children—whether they get pledges or not—will still participate in all the fun of the spirit week and danceathon. The giant dance party on Wednesday is a celebration of everyone coming together with their time, effort, and support from so many members of our community. We thank everyone for their willingness to help our school in any way!
