Our Administration
Dear Parents,
Fostering a Love of Learning in our children is the central theme that guides all our thoughts and actions here at Hudson Montessori. Our small class sizes, supervised by qualified staff experienced in the Montessori Method of teaching, allow us to focus on the individual interests and needs of each child entrusted to our care.
The Montessori Method focuses on providing children with the opportunity to learn in a hands-on setting, designed to cater to each child’s individual needs and unique personality. Children are introduced to many new themes and concepts in the prepared environments of our classrooms. These themes spark their curiosity and excitement, motivating them to work independently with materials. They develop scientific and critical thinking skills working with the Montessori materials. They discover learning through interaction with each other and develop character, good manners, and courteous behavior. In our school’s safe environment, with a low student-to-teacher ratio, our children are nurtured to grow socially, emotionally, and intellectually.
Our classrooms and curriculum are designed to enhance the senses of our children. We work with them in the areas of Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Math, Cultural, Science, and motor skill development. The Montessori Method aims to open children’s minds towards academic development and helps them reach their highest level of potential as individuals.
Children are naturally curious, and they love to explore. In our classrooms, we strive to constantly create environments that keep this joy of discovery kindled. As educators, we observe them through their developmental stages and guide them during the most important stages of their growth.
We invite you to take a tour of our school, meet our staff, and share with us your child's likes and preferences. Throughout the school year, we invite you to share your talents and cultural backgrounds with our children, which helps broaden their worldview even further. We encourage, cultivate, and enjoy this interaction. As Dr. Maria Montessori said, “The essential thing is to arouse such an interest that it engages the child’s whole personality.”
We look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Gracy Jolly
