Social Studies Fair 2024
Hudson Montessori School Transforms Into a Museum Showing the World "Through the Eyes of a Child"
Thank you to everyone who made this year's Social Studies Fair and Street Carnival a success! Nearly 1,000 people filled our campus to experience galleries filled with art, informational pieces, and interactive exhibits. Children also enjoyed face painting, balloon animals, and bouncy houses. Everyone enjoyed delicious food from local trucks, arts and crafts, and exciting games.

We thank our sponsors and vendors who helped make this event fun for all, especially Premier Sponsor Provident Bank. The face painting, balloon twisting, and two bouncy houses were furnished by Parties for Peanuts via the sponsorship by Provident Bank.

What is the Social Studies Fair?
The Social Studies Fair is a highlight of our school year, marking the culmination of our yearlong exploration of a school-wide theme. Each classroom delves into a unique aspect of the theme, creating exhibits that collectively transform our school into a vibrant museum for both our community and students to appreciate. Through their exhibits, our students not only showcase their understanding of the theme but also experience its full scope as they tour each classroom, witnessing the collective culmination of their efforts.
Why Do We Do It?
Our aim is to provide our children with meaningful opportunities to apply their knowledge and skills, and to celebrate their hard work and learning achievements. Our goal is for students to bridge connections from what they learn in the classroom to its relevance to the world around them.
How Important is the Social Studies Fair?
The fair, alongside the Year End Celebration, unites the yearlong theme, ensuring cohesive and memorable experiences for the students who have been immersed in it throughout the year. It becomes a memorable experience for both the students and faculty, as well as for the HMS school community.
