School Community Raises Over $13K During Spirit Week

Thank you to our Hudson Montessori Parent Volunteers, staff, students, and parents for helping us raise $13,250 for enrichment items across all age levels, ranging from indoor and outdoor play equipment, tumbling mats, a new basketball hoop, a large fish tank and supplies, a chicken coop, a laptop cart, and so much more during our danceathon fundraiser.

Leading up to spring break (April 3-10), our parent volunteers helped plan a week full of fun dress-up days, a teacher appreciation celebration, and a danceathon fundraiser.

The week focused on fun, community building, and school spirit. Hudson Montessori School is grateful for the continued support and generosity of our teachers, students, families, community, and school leadership team. Here’s a recap of all the fun events:

Monday: Dress Like a Historical Figure

Past presidents, scientists, artists, and more roamed the halls of Hudson Montessori today! Our students kicked off school spirit week with impressive costumes of their favorite historical figures.

Tuesday: Dress Like a Teacher

Students celebrated Teacher Appreciation Day by coming to school dressed as their favorite teachers. While they could choose any teacher from history, many opted to dress like our beloved teachers here at HMS.

Wednesday: Wacky Wednesday

Everyone was ultra wacky for Wednesday's spirit day! The halls were a blur of color, pattern, and prints, and no outfit was complete without wild accessories like vibrant wigs, chicken hats, and upside-down glasses.

Thursday: Danceathon

Our students left it all on the dance floor at today's danceathon fundraiser! Mrs. Jolly visited classrooms to join in on the fun.

Friday: Pajama Day

After a week of elaborate and creative costumes, students came to school in their coziest pajamas. Even in sleepwear, students represented their dream jobs, showed off characters from their favorite video games, movies, TV shows, and more.

Hudson Montessori School uses an interdisciplinary, theme-based learning approach to education, fostering the love for learning by using the Montessori philosophy and remembering to have fun in the process!. Our school serves children aged 2 to eighth grade. Contact us to learn more about us and our admissions process.
