Summer Camp 2022 Enrolling Now!

Hudson Montessori School invites your children to join us as we explore fascinating concepts from the depths of the ocean to the heights of the sky and much more during three themed summer camp sessions starting June 20! We have a Toddler/Bridge camp (age 2 to 3), Primary camp (age 3 to 6), and Elementary camp (1st grade and up).

Our Toddler & Bridge camp (age 2 and young 3s) transforms your child into a world traveler, learning about the world around them and the transportation inventions that transport us there. Along the way, children will discover how their amazing bodies are designed to explore these wonders. Complete with hands-on activities designed to build their math, language, sensory, and practical life skills, our camp immerses each student to the wonders of the Montessori style of learning. Children will spend time outside each day playing sports and games, gardening, water sprinkler time, and so much more!

Primary campers (age 3 to rising kindergarteners) will examine the earth’s elements and how they shape our planet. Through engaging, theme-based activities, your child will discover the creatures that live in the oceans, the plants and animals from different continents, and the animals and inventions that fly through the air. These lessons are filled with crafts, games, and walking trips to Van Vorst Playground and water sprinkler fun.

The Elementary Maker’s camp (rising 1st graders and up) is STEAM-powered–infused with science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math. Children will learn about coding, 3D printing, engineering, and more. Each Elementary session focuses on a unique lesson about how nature inspires, solves problems, and sustains us all. Throughout each session, we will engage and expand each camper’s critical thinking skills through hands-on projects, group lessons, and field trips to places like the Liberty Science Center, the Newark Museum, Flat Rock Brook Nature Center, and more.

The summer camp curriculum follows Hudson Montessori’s theme-based learning approach to motivate and engage children to understand a range of weekly themes from ocean discovery to the earth’s elements. Half-day, full, and extended day options are available to suit your family’s needs.
