Artistic thinking empowers students to prototype, design, and bring ideas to life, whether in science, technology, engineering, or math. With these tools in hand, our students are well-prepared to succeed in any field they choose.

 

Creative expression is essential to a Montessori education. Elementary students study various artists and their work to help nurture creativity. They explore different techniques and mediums through direct instruction and hands-on practice. Some of the artists we explore might include Leonardo da Vinci, Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Keith Haring, Henri Rousseau, Edgar Degas, Mary Cassatt, Henri Matisse, Georgia O’Keeffe, Marc Chagall, Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein.
