Farewell 2020 and Welcome 2021!

Despite the challenges we have all faced, 2020 has been a year of growth and accomplishment for Hudson Montessori School and its students. Children in each class –ages 2 to 6th grade–have proven to be more flexible than many could have imagined.

Our students successfully adapted to remote learning during the first half of 2020 and made the most of at-home learning. When the need arose, the Upper Elementary sprung into action, orchestrating food delivery to the frontline healthcare workers at Mount Sinai Hospital and exceeding their fundraising goal for WomenRising during this year's holiday donation drive.

Annual events like the Social Studies Fair, End of Year Celebration, Summer Makers Camp, Code Night, and Holiday Cheer were huge successes as virtual events.

When we opened classrooms again in September, the in-person students quickly and comfortably adjusted to social distancing, mask-wearing, and new classroom procedures. Their remote classmates adjusted to learning from home, too.

Our students' willingness to learn, adapt, and follow our safety protocols has allowed us to finish 2020 safely, which is not to be taken for granted.

Thank you to the parents, students, and staff who have helped make 2020 such a fruitful year. We look forward to our continued journey in 2021. Happy New Year to all!
