On Saturday, January 24th, Hudson Montessori School will welcome families to our annual Three-in-One Event. The event combines Bring Your Parent to School Day, our Pancake Breakfast, and the School Maker Faire into one fun-filled day. This celebration is one way we support a strong partnership between school and home and offer our families a meaningful opportunity to participate in their child’s learning experience.
The morning begins with our Pancake Breakfast from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Zeppelin Hall. Parent volunteers, joined by their children, will flip pancakes and serve up a delicious breakfast fundraiser in support of our school’s enrichment programs. It’s a warm and welcoming way to start the day and connect with fellow families.
From 9:00 a.m. to noon, families with children in Toddler, Bridge Primary, and Primary classrooms are invited to participate in Bring Your Parent to School Day. During a 45-minute work period, parents will step into the role of students while their children take the lead. Children will guide their parents through classroom work as families experience firsthand the independence, focus, and joy that define a Montessori learning environment.
Rounding out the day is our School Maker Faire, taking place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Maker Faire showcases our robust STEAM program. Students from Kindergarten through Middle School will proudly present the innovative projects they have been developing throughout the year. Families and students of all ages are encouraged to attend and be inspired by our students’ ingenuity.
At Hudson Montessori, learning thrives when families are actively engaged. Throughout the year, we welcome parents into our classrooms to immerse themselves in their children’s education. The Three-in-One event offers that engagement and immersion, all while providing our Maker Faire student presenters with a supportive audience. Together, these experiences create a day full of learning, creativity, and community.
Hudson Montessori School, located in downtown Jersey City, serves children aged 2 to 8th grade. The teachers use an interdisciplinary, theme-based learning approach grounded in the Montessori philosophy and methodology to foster a love of learning in their students. Its STEM-certified campus is the only one of its kind in New Jersey, featuring STEM-certified teachers who meet the highest standards set by the National Institute for STEM Education. The school welcomes parents to attend an open house to learn more about the school's programs.
