Through this Teacher Insight series, we are proud to highlight the talented individuals whose contributions make Hudson Montessori a place where children truly thrive. Meet Ms. Adinah, a lead teacher in the Lower Elementary program (1st, 2nd, 3rd grades)!
Ms. Adinah brings dedication, creativity, and a deep understanding of Montessori principles to her role. Her greatest motivation in the classroom is the children. She thrives on witnessing their growth, curiosity, and discoveries every day.
Ms. Adinah’s Experience & Qualifications
Adinah has been teaching at our school for 10 years, since 2015. For the past eight years, Adinah has been inspiring Lower Elementary students in the Constellation classroom, typically teaching children aged 6 to 8. Her passion for Montessori education led her to obtain her Montessori certification from the Princeton Center for Teachers’ Education. Ms. Adinah also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Public Policy from Stony Brook University, with a background in the nonprofit sector. She is a nationally STEM-certified teacher with a Leaders of Learning Certificate from Harvard University.
Why Does She Choose Hudson Montessori School as a Teacher?
She believes Hudson Montessori’s biggest strength is its talented and passionate teachers, whose creativity and dedication make learning both engaging and meaningful for all its children. She loves how our school leans on a child’s natural sense of imagination and curiosity to encourage students to be critical thinkers. She admires how our school captivates students’ curiosity while also connecting learning in an interdisciplinary way.
Ms. Adinah’s Personal Life
Adinah enjoys music, poetry, and film. Her love of art weaves into some of her favorite classroom activities, including her personal favorite, the Montessori Great Lessons. She loves how the Great Lessons are inspiring stories to introduce children to the “big picture” of human knowledge, from the universe’s creation to the development of language and mathematics.
She also draws inspiration from her favorite childhood book, “Esperanza Rising,” which taught her the value of resilience, courage, and hope. Her advice to students reflects her core values:
“Do good, choose good, be good, even when no one is looking.”
