A Summer to Remember at Hudson Montessori!
It has been another incredible summer season at Hudson Montessori School! After three exciting sessions of camp filled with hands-on learning, creativity, outdoor adventures, and plenty of sunny fun, we’re wrapping up another memorable summer camp season.
Toddler Camp
Our Toddler campers spent the summer discovering the world around them through themes about the oceans, safari animals, and transportation. They created colorful art projects, built themed dioramas, enjoyed daily sensory and outdoor water play, and prepared cute themed snacks. Stories, songs, Spanish lessons, and imaginative play helped our youngest students learn about everything from sea creatures and wild animals to the many ways we all travel.
Primary Camp
In Primary Camp, our preschoolers and kindergarteners became gardeners, scientists, builders, engineers, and wildlife explorers. Campers grew beans, explored the tasty world of fruits, vegetables, and seeds, and practiced early math and science skills through hands-on experiments. Later in the summer, they explored Buildings, Bridges, and Tunnels, learning what makes structures strong and putting their own problem-solving skills to work. During Session 3, campers turned their attention to the animal kingdom with Catch It! – Predator or Prey!, exploring food chains, animal adaptations, and the ways animals survive in the wild.
Elementary STEAM Maker’s Camp
Our Elementary Maker’s Camp spent the summer exploring the Games People Play. Students learned about games from around the world while putting their STEAM skills to the test. They designed marble mazes, programmed games with Scratch, engineered Hot Wheels tracks, tackled LEGO challenges, created FIFA City, and redesigned classic games for a new generation of players. Along the way, they practiced chess with National Master Mr. Jim and participated in Spanish, music, art, technology, sports, and other special activities.
Summer camp wouldn’t be complete without plenty of time outdoors and water play. Our younger campers frolicked in the sprinklers while our elementary campers went swimming in our rooftop pool. Our elementary campers also played basketball and soccer, and engineered their own games.
From our youngest toddlers to our Elementary makers, Summer Camp 2026 was filled with moments of curiosity, creativity, teamwork, and discovery. We loved watching our campers try new things, solve problems, express their ideas, and grow more confident throughout the summer.
A big thank you to our campers, families, teachers, and staff for making all three sessions so special. Summer Camp 2026 may be coming to an end, but the memories made along the way will stay with us long after summer is over.
