Hudson Montessori students celebrated Pi Day with an exciting morning of mathematical fun on Friday, March 13. Our classes kicked off the festivities for our annual Pi Day competitions. Students participated in a look-alike contest, arriving dressed as famous scientists, including Marie Curie and the mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. The costumes brought these historic figures to life in our classrooms.
Students also participated in the Pi Recital Challenge, where they tested their memory by reciting as many digits of the mathematical constant Pi as possible. Congratulations to our winners:
Pi Recital Challenge Winners
1st Place: Anushka D. — 321 digits
2nd Place: Nandini R. — 301 digits
3rd Place: Lihi S. — 231 digits
The day was filled with enthusiasm and friendly competition as students supported one another. It was a memorable way to celebrate math while honoring the scientists who helped shape it.
