Recently, alums from Hudson Montessori School returned virtually to connect with this year’s graduating 8th-grade class for Alumni Night. This evening meeting was designed to help students feel prepared for the transition to high school.
Moderated by school guidance counselor Ms. Nicole, the conversation brought together four alums from last year’s graduating class, current 8th graders, and parents for an open and thoughtful discussion about what to expect in the year ahead. Questions ranged from managing school workloads and preparing over the summer to navigating new social environments and teacher expectations.
The alums shared how well prepared they felt as they entered high school, crediting Hudson Montessori’s Middle School program for helping them build strong academic habits, confidence, and independence. From note-taking and time management to essay writing and research skills, each student reflected on the advantages Hudson Montessori taught them in preparation for high school.
At Hudson Montessori, we believe education extends beyond academics. Through mentorship, guidance, and community connection, we strive to support students socially, emotionally, and intellectually. Alumni Night was designed to help ease transitions and empower them for the next stage of their journey.
