Hudson Montessori Yearbook Club Hard At Work

The Middle School Yearbook Club is already hard at work creating this year’s yearbook! In September, 18 sixth-, seventh-, and eighth-grade students in Yearbook Club start with a blank page and develop an 88-page book by year’s end. This is the fifth year of our Yearbook Club, a cherished afterschool club, led by two parent volunteers with professional experience.

In this after-school club, students learn layout and graphic design, photography, writing, and editing. Club members are learning about funding the book, marketing and advertising, and creating videos to raise awareness and generate revenue.

Our Yearbook Club is a wonderful group of students with many unique ideas who help make each book different each year. The yearbook is eagerly anticipated by the entire school in June. We can’t wait to see what they create!

Hudson Montessori School, located in downtown Jersey City, serves children from ages 2 through 8th grade. The teachers use an interdisciplinary, theme-based learning approach grounded in Montessori philosophy and methodology to foster students' love of learning. Its STEM-certified campus is the only one of its kind in New Jersey, featuring STEM-certified teachers who meet the highest standards set by the National Institute for STEM Education. The school welcomes parents to an open house to learn more about its programs.
