Hudson Montessori School recognizes Dr. Grace Sanvictores, Middle School Director and STEAM Co-Director, for her leadership as a NASA STEM Education Ambassador in 2026.

Hudson Montessori School is pleased to announce that Dr. Grace Sanvictores, Middle School Director and STEAM Program Co-Director, received special recognition from NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies for her leadership and participation as a STEM Education Ambassador for her students in 2026.

To earn this distinction, Dr. Grace completed more than 20 hours of training and instruction on Space Studies research and NASA Earth Science Missions and integrated these studies into her students' curriculum throughout the school year.

She accessed many of NASA’s content, data, tools, and resources relevant to Earth and environmental science missions. Her students benefited directly from this connection by conducting their own research on space weather and related topics, resulting in award-winning STEM Showcase presentations at the Hudson County STEM Showcase, the IEEE Conference at Princeton University, and a research showcase at the NJ Institute of Technology, all in the spring of 2026.

As part of her ambassadorship, her team of science educators and her Middle School students gained access to an instrument suite that supports deeper understanding and learning opportunities in Earth science remote sensing technology and applications through spectral observations and data collection.

“We are very grateful for Grace Sanvictores's participation and leadership in the STEM Education Ambassador Program. Please join us in celebrating their accomplishments and success in pioneering STEM learning opportunities and engaging their students and community to contribute to NASA’s mission in exploration and discovery,” according to Michael Taylor, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, and Matthew Pearce, NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies.

Hudson Montessori School, located in downtown Jersey City, serves children from 18 months through 8th grade. The teachers use an interdisciplinary, theme-based learning approach grounded in Montessori philosophy and methodology to foster students' love of learning.
