Student Delegation Makes Strides Toward a Better Tomorrow at 2026 Montessori Model United Nations

For four days, our 55-student delegation stepped into the role of ambassadors at the 20th anniversary of the Montessori Model United Nations (MMUN) in Manhattan. Each delegate conducted in-depth research on their assigned country, developed a deep understanding of complex international issues, and strengthened their skills in diplomacy, collaboration, and public speaking.
Congratulations to each delegate on this year's successful presentations and on developing real-world solutions to global issues. Below is a summary of their work:
Cosette addressed the Social, Humanitarian, and Cultural Committee (SOCHUM) on behalf of Canada on the advancement of women.
Lihi represented Canada on the Social, Humanitarian, and Cultural Committee (SOCHUM) and discussed education for democracy.
Mila spoke on behalf of Canada in the World Health Organization (WHO) committee on refugee and migrant health.
Rea presented Canada’s position in the World Health Organization (WHO) committee on the human genome and gene editing.
Raunaq represented Canada in the Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC) and addressed children in armed conflict.
Indira spoke for Canada in the Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC) on lethal autonomous weapon systems.
Abhay discussed refugee and migrant health while serving on the World Health Organization (WHO) committee representing Chile.
Dane presented Chile’s perspective in the World Health Organization (WHO) committee on the human genome and gene editing.
Aaron K spoke on behalf of Chile in the Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC) on children in armed conflict.

Hudson Montessori School, located in downtown Jersey City, serves children from ages 2 through 8th grade. The teachers use an interdisciplinary, theme-based learning approach grounded in Montessori philosophy and methodology to foster students' love of learning. Its STEM-certified campus is the only one of its kind in New Jersey, featuring STEM-certified teachers who meet the highest standards set by the National Institute for STEM Education. The school welcomes parents to an open house to learn more about its programs.
