Week two at camp was filled with energy, creativity, and water-filled adventures! Our campers immersed themselves in the spirit of summer with hands-on exploration and playtime at the splash pad, sprinklers, and rooftop pool.
Toddler and Bridge Primary
Toddlers were excited to discover all about sea animals! The young campers enjoyed water play, expressed their creativity through arts and crafts, and learned fascinating facts about the eyespots of starfish and the sharp teeth of baby sharks. Campers also created a colorful ocean wall mural and ended the week with a refreshing treat by making fresh orange juice.
Preschool and Kindergarten
Preschool and kindergarten campers explored all the vehicles that travel on water. From sailboats and submarines to windsurfing boards, the children discovered how wind helps move some watercraft and learned the science behind sinking and floating. They even designed and tested their own mini surfboards with an exciting experiment that sparked plenty of curiosity and laughter. Campers enjoyed land and water sorting activities, lessons on sailboat anatomy, and experienced an imaginative journey to Mexico in Spanish class, where campers practiced new vocabulary through songs and games.
Elementary
Our Elementary campers continued their exciting mission to Mars by splitting into two teams—Engineers and Astronauts—for a week full of space-themed science, engineering, and enrichment activities. Together, they designed Martian greenhouses and cities with Legos, conducted an experiment melting and reshaping plastic cups into nebulas, and created colorful space-themed window clings. They practiced their Spanish by learning space-related vocabulary with Ms. Lu, and explored rhythm and music through a Star Wars-themed lesson with music teacher Ms. Asya.
The campers enjoyed swimming in the rooftop pool, sharpening their strategy skills in chess, and practicing basketball both indoors and in our backyard. The week wrapped up with a field trip to the Liberty Science Center, where campers explored interactive exhibits and had a blast learning through play. It has been so rewarding to watch our campers build friendships and fully embrace summer!
