Through this Teacher Insight series, we are proud to highlight the talented individuals whose contributions make Hudson Montessori School a place where children thrive. Meet Ms. Gina Reeves, Hudson Montessori School Director, Middle School Passion Project and ICOP teacher, and a longtime leader in Montessori education.
Ms. Gina brings decades of experience, deep institutional knowledge, and a steadfast commitment to education. Her passion for teaching began early, inspired at age seven by an exceptional second-grade teacher who modeled an inquiry-based approach grounded in strong academics. That early influence shaped her lifelong dedication to designing meaningful learning experiences that honor students’ strengths while supporting their growth. Throughout her career, her focus has remained clear: Make great teaching happen by supporting and empowering educators.

Ms. Gina has worked in education for nearly 50 years as a teacher and an administrator. For the last 30 years, she has successfully led several Montessori schools, guiding curriculum development, faculty growth, and school-wide innovation. She joined Hudson Montessori School 11 years ago, helping the school expand its Elementary and Middle School programs and achieve STEAM certification.
She holds a Master’s of Instruction with a specialization in Curriculum Design, along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Ms. Gina’s Personal Life
Outside of school, Ms. Gina is an avid crafter. She also shares that one of her favorite children’s books is “The Wind in the Willows,” a timeless story she loves for its sense of adventure, memorable characters, and lessons about friendship, curiosity, and love.
The advice she consistently shares with students reflects her thoughtful approach to learning and life: “Don’t assume—ask or tell. Try everything, and be willing to take risks.”
Thanks to her deep understanding of Montessori philosophy, commitment to community building, and unwavering support of educators and students, Ms. Gina is an invaluable and guiding presence at Hudson Montessori School.
