Summer camp at Hudson Montessori School is all about making fun memories while keeping children active, enriching and engaging curious minds, and ensuring children have certified teachers and instructors who offer a safe and nurturing environment.
Hudson Montessori School offers three summer camps explicitly geared for different age levels: Toddler (age 2 up to 3), Primary (age 3 up to rising Kindergarteners), and Elementary (rising First Graders to Fifth Graders). These camps cover three sessions: Session 1 (June 16 to July 3); Session 2 (July 7 to July 25); and Session 3 (July 28 to August 8)—choose one, two, or all three.
Hudson Montessori School is the only STEM-certified campus in New Jersey; its camps lean heavily into its science-based approach.
Toddler Camp: “Discovering My World”Children are introduced to hands-on Montessori learning focusing on water, land, and transportation. Children will have daily outdoor activities, including splash pad and water play, sandpit play, gardening, music and movement, yoga, arts and crafts, and dedicated Spanish lessons. Toddler Camp differs from Primary Camp in that it caters only to two-year-olds, and you can choose between two-, three-, and five-day options.
Primary Camp: “Discover Earth’s Elements” Each session focuses on different types of transportation—water, land, and air. Children will have daily outdoor activities, including a splash pad and water play, sandpit, gardening, music and movement, yoga, arts and crafts, and dedicated Spanish lessons. This camp is a five-day camp, but you can decide between half-day (noon dismissal), full-day (3 p.m. dismissal), or extended day (up to 6 p.m.)
Elementary Maker’s Camp: “Mission to Space” Four days a week (weather permitting), children will go swimming in the campus’ rooftop pool, play outdoors and in the indoor basketball gym, learn chess, coding, robotics, engineering, horticulture, art, music, all with a focus on space exploration and designing purposeful hands-on projects that demonstrate their innate curiosity. As a bonus, campers go on a fun field trip every Friday.
Hudson Montessori School uses an interdisciplinary, theme-based learning approach to education. Its STEM-certified campus is the only one of its kind in New Jersey, with STEM-certified teachers who meet the highest standard by the National Institute for STEM Education.
