The first month of school is always full of exciting events: our schoolwide Welcome Breakfast, Back to School Nights, and beyond. Here are a few highlights from this week's happenings at Hudson Montessori School:
Back to School Nights
It was wonderful seeing our parents attend our Back to School Nights! Held throughout September, our Back to School Nights bring together parents from all grade levels (Toddler to Middle School) to learn more about their students' enriching curriculum, daily schedules, special classes, and other essential details. Our final Back to School Nights for Toddler, Bridge Primary, and Primary are next Wednesday, Sept. 18.
Parent Welcome Breakfast
This week, we welcomed our new and returning families to the start of the 2024-2025 school year with a parent breakfast and meet and greet. Parents mingled while students were in their respective classes; some got to know each other, and others reunited to catch up after summer break. Thank you to our Hudson Montessori Parent Volunteers for helping host such a memorable morning.
Students and Parents Honor 9/11
This week, our Middle School students planned several ways to remember the victims and heroes of 9/11. They explained to the younger grades why we were silent during their Maker Monday meeting. The school administration also held a moment of silence at the Parent Breakfast. Our Middle School students also took a walking trip to the 9/11 Memorial in Exchange Place. They discussed the attack’s impact, the hope of survivorship, and the importance of remembering our history.
Middle School Students Achieve Recognition in National Science Competition
We are thrilled to announce that our students, Alexandra B. (a Middle School alumna) and Mira S. (8th grade), have achieved a remarkable feat by placing in the top 300 entries at the Thermo-Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge, a prestigious nationwide science competition. This is a testament to the quality of education and the nurturing environment provided by our dedicated teaching staff. Click here to read more.
